The Weekend of Speakers

Friday 13th June => Sunday 15th June St. Pauls Hall, University of Huddersfield UK

Introduction

This summer this space will become speakers corner, well actually more of a room. The purpose: to explore the unique acoustic environment available only here.

Speakers will be positioned to offer not only a single performance space but also a diverse set of acoustics area interweaving a sonic fabric. Controlled by multiple participants and groups a variety of performance events and installations will occur over the weekend offering a fascinating acoustic exploration and tour.

With events suitable for all ages The Weekend of Speakers is an ideal introduction to the issues regarding diffusion and will look to explore methods of creating, distributing and recreating works.

We are currently looking for artist who wish to be involved in this project creatively and/or technically with either compositions, improvisations or installations to be performed.

As always we are running this on a zero budget and lots of favors so accommodation and food is the only incentives on offer.
