Anton Hunter is a jazz guitarist living in Manchester, though from him “jazz” ranges from drop-c dark improv sets with laptops to ambient soundscapes in his quartet HAQ as well as playing in (and occasionally writing for) the electronics-meets-brass of the Beats & Pieces Big Band.
You’ll also see him co-running the monthly open improvisation night The Noise Upstairs and playing in the music/art trio Takahashi’s Shellfish Concern. Recently he has set up Efpi Records with other musicians to release and promote contemporary jazz in Manchester
